2011 Ford Edge 5 button prox remote with cut emergency key

I had a customer come in earlier this week looking to get a spare key made for her 2011 Ford Edge. I didn’t have the specific fob in stock so I offered to order it for her. She agreed and I placed the order. A few days later it arrived in the mail. We set up an appointment for the next day. Because this was just adding a spare key she was able to bring it into the shop.

This was relatively quick and easy programming. After finding the proper spot to place the prox during the 10 minute program session the car accepted it first try. After the successful programming, I decoded her existing emergency key from within the OEM fob and copied it to the new backup emergency key.

The entire job took roughly 15 – 20 minutes while she waited in the shop.
